< HALF LIFE SHRINE >

omggggg,,,, this game actually altered my brain chemistry and changed me forever it is sooooooo good. I could yap forever about how much I love half life and I will tbh. I was introduced to half life through HLVRAI like many new half life fans lmao but this game is just so lovely beautiful gorgeous and somehow has a gameplay experience that feels so smooth and fun for me despite being almost 30 years old. I personally like playing the og crunchy version with the crunchy og models, enhances the experience. I will admit though I am a #fakefan because I have never played opposing force, blueshift, or decay but I'll get to it at some point.

I am honestly disappointed by how long it took for me to get into half life, I've been a fan of portal since I came out of the womb pretty much, simiarly with tf2 though not as soon. Half life is very inspiring and important to me, and is a game I probably will never tire of playing. Can't wait for half life 3. Any day now it'll be here for sure.

I absolutely adore head crabs. They're so cute in a nasty kind of way, just my gross little dude. When I was like 10 I loved playing GMOD but all I ever did was either chase my friends around as vocaloids or position props around in scenes, I never dared to join any servers. I didnt have a clue what a "half-life" was but I loved using the headcrabs as dogs because listen thats just puppy right there,, thats my animal you have to understand.

the soundtrack for half life slaps so hard and is so iconic. I don't listen to it often outside of playing half life, but its super fun and lively. JUNGLE DRUMS fills me with so much dread when I listen to it though and I have no idea why. The drums are very scary sounding. The gonarch also scared me so bad, sorry queen, my feminist icon.

my scientist / headcrab / kleiner is the first cosplay I've ever made and I'm pretty satisfied with it! I made her using a youtube tutorial and template and I will link it here once I hunt it down again. I still wear it to cons and last year I managed to find another guy as a headcrab zombie which was SOOO FUN!! spent at least a good half hour at the end of the con looking for this guy cuz people I took photos told me there was another headcrab around lol.

My gordon is by far the hardest thing I've ever made for a cosplay and I vastly overestimated my costume making abilities and underestimated how bad my procrastination was. Honestly horrible experience wearing this thing, super uncomfortable, didn't end up fitting me since I made my initial measurements for the costume, and unfortunately for me started breaking by the end of the day. Super tragic and permeanantly retired lmao. Met some cool ppl wearing it tho so that was fun! :D
